Grandma and Grandpa come to Visit

What a fun treat to have Grandma and Grandpa come and stay. Abigail took to them right away. She wasn't even shy or afraid. In fact she let Grandpa babysit her just 15 minutes after she first saw him while Grandma and I went to my Ultra Sound. I was worried how things would go but when we got home she didn't even notice. She was too busy sitting on Grandpa's lap while he read to her.
Sadly, Jordan had to work all day so Grandpa, Grandma, Abigail, and I went to our favorite local places. First we HAD to enjoy the wonders of our local Grocery Store, Wegmans. If you haven't heard me say it before I will say it again I am sure, this in no ordinary Grocery store. We had lunch there and it was great.
We then drove down to the Finger Lake District and enjoyed the scenic drive with the autumn leaves, the lakes, and all the farmland. On the way back we stopped at one of my all time favorite hidden treasures. F. Olivers! This store is specifically for Balsamic Vinegars and Olive Oils and it is AMAZING. Grandma and I had a wonderful time sampling all the different flavors, and Grandpa had a great time getting new business ideas.
That night I introduced Grandma and Grandpa to the FOOD Network and we all enjoyed my favorite, The Iron Chef.

Friday we took the day easy and slept in, went out to eat for Lunch at Veneto's (I have mentioned this amazing Italian Restaurant before and wow is it amazing). Grandma and I then went out shopping while Abigail and the guys stayed and napped. We enjoyed a yummy dinner and then watched the 6th Harry Potter.

Saturday we got up early and left the country! Canada has become our favorite home away from home. We made our way through the wine region to Niagara on the Lake. We had beautiful weather and good eats.
We then enjoyed the splendor of Niagara Falls. Abigail was so darling the whole time. She would look from the American Falls to the Canadian Falls, repeating "waterfall, oooh BIG waterfall" and then she would make the sound of the water fall, "pshhhhh".
After walking around the falls and getting chilled to bone by the spray, we headed inside and enjoyed some yummy hot cocoa.
We headed back home, ate leftovers, and watched another Harry Potter. It was a great day!

Off to Church! Abigail displayed her verbal skills as she talked her way through Sacrament, entertaining Grandma and Grandpa and horrifying Mommy and Daddy. Once again she didn't last in Nursery, but Daddy was nice to stay with her while Mommy went to classes with Grandma and Grandpa.
After Church Grandma, Grandpa, and I headed off to Palmyra to the E. B. Grandon Printing Press. It was a great tour! Home to a delicious meal made by the wonderful Grandma and Grandpa (it's so great to have them stay).
Since it was Halloween we introduced Abigail to the wonders of the Holiday. She wasn't a big fan of carving pumpkins (something about the feel of the pumpkin insides:) and the mess.) She did love the Trick or Treaters and ran to the door each time there was a knock, saying, "treat, treat, treat."

Jordan, Abigail, and I all felt the trip was way too short. We love you Grandma and Grandpa and hope you can come back again! We would love any visitors, so start planning your trips:).
