"Rory, I really like your daughter."

Happy birthday Rory! I've heard the 45th birthday is one of the better ones. Enjoy it:) Rachel asked each of us to share either one of our favorite memories or a quick thank you. I will do both. First, thank you for not strangling me when I asked for your daughter's hand in marriage. Perhaps the words "I really like your daughter" weren't necessarily strong enough for the occasion - my mistake. I don't think I've seen your eyes wider or your jaw drop as much as when I uttered that fateful phrase. Funny memory. It's a good thing there was nothing sharp within arm's length at the time. If I may, let me set the record straight in writing...I LOVE your daughter!!! I definitely have a lot to improve (Rachel will agree:) but I will always do my best to deserve her. Thanks for giving me the privilege to be with Rachel forever! Happy B-day!
